Updated and reissued in September 2017 the European Railway Atlas now Includes eighteen months of routine updates for several new high speed routes, plus newly electrified lines and line closures. Hundreds of minor changes include recent station openings and closures. Also, Belarus is now labelled in Belarusian instead of Russian.'
The Atlas is intended for the railway professional, enthusiast and general traveller alike and depicts the national network railways of Europe in an easy-to-read full colour format. All passenger, freight and proposed lines are shown, as are most heritage railways, though most metros are excluded. Main lines are distinguished from secondary and single track from multiple. Electrification systems and track gauges are shown and there is a full index of stations and heritage railways. The atlas also has the key in nineteen European languages.
